Laparoscopic Cancer Surgery

At Anamay Cancer Hospital, we recognize the significance of laparoscopic cancer surgery, a minimally invasive technique that plays a crucial role in treating various forms of cancer. Our specialized Laparoscopic Cancer Surgery Department is dedicated to delivering expert care and personalized surgical solutions for patients requiring this advanced approach.

What is laparoscopy ?

A laparoscopy is a procedure that a physician does to view within the pelvis and abdomen. A laparoscope, which is a thin, flexible tube with a light and a tiny video camera on the end, is used for this. A little incision is made in the abdominal wall close to the navel (belly button) to insert the tube. To insert additional equipment, it is also possible to make a second or third incision in various abdominal regions. Keyhole or minimally invasive surgery are other names for laparoscopy.

The symptoms of cancer vary widely depending on the type and location of the cancer. Some common signs and symptoms of cancer may include:

  • Unexplained Weight Loss
  • Pain
  • Fatigue
  • Changes in the Skin
  • Changes in Bowel or Bladder Habits
  • Persistent Cough or Hoarseness
  • Difficulty Swallowing
  • Lumps or Masses
  • Changes in Breast Appearance

Laparoscopic cancer surgery is one of the treatment options available for cancer. It is used when the cancer is located in a way that allows for laparoscopic access. The procedure involves making small incisions in the body and using specialized instruments to remove or treat the cancerous tissue.
